The 4 Prong T-Nut (commonly known as a Tee Nut) is a specialized internally threaded insert designed to provide a flush, high-torque steel thread profile in wooden, composite, or polymer workpieces. Stripping usually occurs due to poor thread concentricity or low core hardness in the fastener. Sinsun prevents this by maintaining tight dimensional tolerances (±0.02mm) during cold heading and applying precise heat treatment to achieve HRC 28-32.
For dry interior applications (like furniture assembly), C1008 or C1010 carbon steel is recommended. For high-humidity or marine applications (like outdoor climbing structures), stainless steel grades (SUS304 or SUS316) are required to prevent oxidation.
